What does your current role involve?

• Providing professional support and assistance to the SANTED Director in the planning , implementation and co-ordination of projects in SANTED II
• Acting as a liaison between the programme and the project co-ordinators in particular the Multilingualism and Capacity Building projects
• Organizing workshops and conferences

Has your role evolved since you started?  If so how?
I was brought in to provide administrative support to the office and attend to institutions/projects and their queries in the SANTED programme towards the end of SANTED I.  I had no formal experience on Higher Education/NGO when I started and over the months have gained enough to make me feel confident about what I do and what the programme provides to the institutions
What is your most memorable or satisfying experience at SANTED?
My most memorable experience at SANTED was working with Derrick Young, the former SANTED Director.  He knew I wasn’t qualified for the job but had confidence in me and recognized the hard work and enthusiasm I had in my job. We also had the pleasure of working with Trish Gibbon who hasn’t only taught us the ‘tricks of the trade’ but has encouraged, guided and supported us in getting to where we are today
